Artist of the Month
(September)

Terri's work is created to amuse, inspire, and spark curiosity about the mysteries of the natural world. Through familiar forms and organic movement, she reimagines landscapes, blending observation with playful rhythm and color to reveal a fresh perspective. She thinks of creating as solving a visual and melodic puzzle—ever-changing, intuitive, and alive. Flowers, cycles, and patterns become reinterpreted through shifts in motion and an intensified palette, offering a vibrant new life on canvas. This process mirrors nature itself: fluid, harmonic, and endlessly adaptive.

For over 30 years, Terri has worked as a professional artist, illustrator, and educator. Her career has taken her from illustrating children’s books to capturing seasonal change, cultural themes, and scenes from her travels. Today, Terri continues to share her imagination through a wide range of colors, shading, and hues, while also teaching Color, Design, and Painting at Saint Louis University.

She earned her B.F.A. from the Columbus College of Art and Design and both an M.A. and M.F.A. in Painting from Fontbonne University. Over the years, her work has appeared in countless shows, exhibits, and publications.
Terri will be displaying her artwork in Scott Hall September 2 - September 30.
Her artwork will also be for sale! Visit the rising thought bookstore to purchase.
“The work I create is meant to amuse, inspire, and foster a curiosity of the mystery that is our natural world. Through familiar forms and organic movements an alternative landscape emerges. I am fascinated by thinking of creating, like solving a visual and melodious puzzle.”
