Supporting Our Neighbors After the Storms

Updated: Jun 9

On May 16, powerful storms swept through our region, leaving behind a path of destruction that displaced many of our neighbors with some losing their homes entirely. In response to this heartbreaking devastation, CSL St. Louis has partnered with Love in Action STL and St. Stanislaus Polish Catholic Church to support 30 families who are now facing unimaginable challenges.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we’ve already raised over $1,500 and collected essential supplies to help meet urgent needs. From hygiene items to household basics, your donations are already making a difference.

This week, Rev. Celeste, Lady J, and Anna Allen delivered your contributions to Love in Action STL, where they were gratefully received. They also spent time driving through the neighborhoods most impacted by the tornado. The damage they witnessed was sobering; roofs torn off, debris scattered, families left without shelter. And yet, amid the loss, there’s also been something beautiful: the way our city has come together in love, compassion, and service.

Watch the clip below of Lady J, Rev. Celeste, and Anna Allen delivering your donations!

We also invite you to watch this short video of Lady J and Anna Allen driving through one of the hardest-hit neighborhoods, witnessing the heartbreaking damage firsthand and the resilience of those affected.

The need is still great. If you haven’t had a chance to give, it’s not too late. We are continuing to collect both monetary donations and essential items here at the Center.

Let’s continue to hold our neighbors in love and action. Together, we can be a source of hope and healing in the wake of crisis.

With gratitude,

CSL-STL
