Art has been the pulse of Nancy’s life for as long as she can remember. From an early fascination with color and image-making, her passion grew through years of study, mentorship, and fearless experimentation across a wide range of styles and media.
Inspired by nature, music, and the complexity of the human spirit, Nancy’s work moves fluidly between realism and abstraction. Bold, expressive brushwork and dynamic color are central to her practice, whether she is capturing the movement of water, the energy of a musician mid-performance, or imagined worlds shaped by emotion and atmosphere.
Through her art, Nancy seeks not only to represent what she sees, but to convey what she feels—inviting viewers into moments of beauty, connection, and emotional resonance.

Opening Reception
On Sunday, March 8th, we celebrated Nancy Rice Early, our Artist of the Month, with a special reception where she shared the stories and inspiration behind her diverse body of work. Nancy spoke about the evolution of her artistic styles, including a unique form of pointillism she developed while living in California. During long train rides, she chose to sketch rather than spend time on her computer, discovering that the movement of the train made it impossible to draw straight lines—an experience that naturally led her to create intricate works built from dots instead.
Inspired by nature, music, and the complexity of the human spirit, Nancy’s artwork moves fluidly between realism and abstraction. Her pieces invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and experience the layers of energy, movement, and emotion within each composition.
