Artist of the Month
(July)

Artists evolve. So does their art.

Lately, Amy has been creating analog collages and mixed media assemblages using found objects. Her work explores personal and imaginative narratives, often centered around themes of family, loss, addiction, and healing. Art allows Amy to express what words sometimes can't.

Amy is also inspired by nature, especially here in St. Louis. Her botanical pieces are preserved in resin, capturing the beauty of each season—no two are alike. These works celebrate the everyday magic we might otherwise overlook.

A constant in all Amy's work is the use of found and vintage materials—rusty bits from walks with her dog Blue, old photos, discarded treasures. She has been collecting since she was a child stuffing rocks into her pockets. Even when she doesn’t use these items right away, they bring joy and meaning to her space.
AMY WILLCUT will be displaying her artwork in Scott Hall July 1 - July 30.
Her artwork will also be for sale! Visit the rising thought bookstore to purchase.
Opening Reception
On Sunday, July 13th, the CSL Art Committee hosted a warm and inspiring artist reception for Amy Willcut and her collection, "Found." A wonderful crowd gathered to hear Amy speak about the deeply personal inspiration behind her analog collages and mixed media assemblages. Using found objects, Amy weaves together imaginative narratives that reflect on themes of family, loss, addiction, and healing.

Her powerful and reflective pieces will be on display throughout the month of July. You can view the exhibit Tuesday- Friday between 10 AM and 3 PM in Scott Hall. All artwork is available for purchase in the Rising Thought Gifts & Bookstore.
