My artistic journey into mixed-media began when I had a longing. A longing to connect more deeply to myself and to God. A longing to find a way to express what my spirit wanted to feel and to say. To express what the beauty of nature was giving to my heart.

I use nature as inspiration for my work and I also love to incorporate nature’s elements into most of my pieces. God opened up a pathway to my creative spirit and I discovered that if I used bits of his creation for self-expression, I would find a freedom I never knew was available to me. To create whatever I want without expectations or restrictions. The art I make has also become a way to share that freedom with others. To share what it is like to sit quietly with one’s inner spirit and listen to what is around and in one's heart…like having a conversation with God. 

Creating art is more about who I am than what I do. It is a way to show in images what I cannot express in words. A way to pray and open up; to have a place for my inner spirit’s voice to speak. My art has now become the place I feel fully free and more of me!
