Abstract Clouds

Artist of the Month

(July)

Mark Clark's body of work is centered on abstract, surreal, pop-infused viewscapes that invite viewers into immersive environments. Through mixed media and sculptural forms, he creates layered visual experiences that blur the boundary between reality and fantasy, encouraging exploration and personal interpretation.

A defining element of his art is the integration of circular and filigree motifs alongside letterform components. These forms operate both structurally and symbolically, guiding the viewer’s eye while evoking continuity, intricacy, and movement. His work is especially compelling in the way it balances geometric precision with organic fluidity.

His work ultimately seeks to transport viewers beyond the familiar, offering a space where imagination takes precedence and meaning unfolds through interaction. With this upcoming showcase, CSL visitors can expect artwork that resonates on both a visual and emotional level—inviting curiosity, reflection, and a deeper engagement with the unseen worlds within and around us.

Mark will be displaying his artwork in Scott Hall July 3 - July 27.

His artwork will also be for sale!  Visit the rising thought bookstore to purchase.
