Want A Civil Wedding Ceremony?

The large number of interfaith marriages taking place today means many couples are opting for a civil ceremony. This permits you to include special readings, create your own vows, add special symbols or wedding themes (whether religious or not) that they may not be able to include in a strict religious ceremony.

A civil ceremony generally contains very little or no religious elements.  But, that is your choice! You can make it up anyway you wish. You can hold the ceremony in any venue you choose.  Be sure to interview the ceremony officiant to be sure they are willing to do what you want! Civil ceremonies are much more flexible in today's world.  You both may incorporate aspects of each of your religions if you wish, write your own vows and have any type of wedding theme you want, whereas a typical religious ceremony tends to restrict much of this.  Civil ceremonies also tend to be a favorite with the budget conscious couple, as they are usually much cheaper in the long run.
